Cheryl Burke made Dancing With The Stars franchise history by becoming the first professional dancer to win two championships. Furthermore, she made Dancing With The Stars history by becoming the first professional dancer to win "back to back" titles (two consecutive championships in a row). Cheryl Burke won her first Dancing With The Stars Championship with 98 Degrees boy band member Drew Lachey in the second season of Dancing with the Stars (US TV series). And she won her second championship with NFL (National Football League - American Football) star Emmitt Smith in the third season of Dancing With The Stars in the USA.
Julianne Hough became the youngest dancer on Dancing with the Stars when she was partnered with Apolo Anton Ohno on the US season 4. Louisa Lytton (partnered with Vincent Simone) became the youngest competitor on Strictly Come Dancing aged just 17 during Series 4. All three of the U.S. DWTS pros who have won (Hough, Burke and Alec Mazo) won the championship in their first season.
Kym Johnson and Tobias Karlsson are the only dancers to have appeared on two different versions of Dancing with the stars. Kym Johnson danced on the US version and the Australian version, while Tobias Karlsson appeared in the Danish and Swedish version. Ingrid Beate Thompson appeared in the Norwegian and Swedish versions, while Csaba Szirmai appeared in the Australian and New Zealand versions.
Edyta Sliwinska is the only person on Dancing with the Stars (US TV series) to appear in every season. In the original UK format, Strictly Come Dancing, Anton du Beke, Erin Boag, Brendan Cole and Camilla Dallerup have appeared in every series to date.
Jill Halfpenny and Darren Bennett were the first couple to ever receive a perfect 40 score in the format on Strictly Come Dancing for the Jive in the Series 2 finale.
Two competitors have presented a series of the format. Dancing with the Stars is the name for a number of international television series based on the format of the British series Strictly Come Dancing. The show pairs a number of celebrities with professional ballroom dancers, who each week compete by performing dances, which are then given scores by a panel of judges. Viewers are given a certain amount of time to place votes on their favorite dancers, either by telephone or (in some of the shows) by the Internet. The couple with the lowest combined score (judges plus viewers) is eliminated and does not go on to the next week. This process continues until there are only two or three couples left, at which point one couple is declared the champion.
